Starting the year with a flourish, WV Tower 2 has just been topped off! Held last February 26, 2020, after a mere 9 months of Tower 1's structural completion, the topping off ceremony was simple yet meaningful as it marks a step closer to making Iloilo truly a home of many firsts.

WV Towers 1 & 2: We’ve reached the Top!

Congratulations and words of thanks were given all around as Westernland Property Development Inc., a member the B&P Property Group, reaches a truly significant milestone: the topping off of WV Tower 1 in Mandurriao Garden Residences. Held last May 28th, 2019, what started as a dream is now a reality as the ceremony marks the structural completion of this modern urban oasis; set to bring a number of notable firsts for Iloilo.

With golden shovel in hand, project leaders, led by Mr. William Bantigue, Chairman of the B&P Property Group and WPDi, ceremoniously laid the last batch of cement atop the 10-storey WV Tower 1. He was joined by Ms. Corazon Nenita Pangan, B&P Property Group and WPDi Board Director, Mr. Victor Contreras, President, Westernland Property Development Inc., with its lead architect, Ms. Sol Cabangal, Mr. Daryl Secapurri, Construction Project Manager for Rider Levett Buckhall, and Mr. Alex Tajanlangit, Contractor, AC Tajanlangit. 

“I am so happy that we are all gathered here to celebrate this moment. This is a good example of collaboration, how people can work together. A few years ago, this was just grass, today we see two towers. 10 years from now, this will be a community of several buildings set against a manicured landscape,” said Mr. William Bantigue. In turn, Ms. Net Pangan thanked everyone involved especially the workers, builders, and electricians, as she believes that they define how long the structure will stand. “The things we do have meaning - we see the big picture - we are building homes for others. This will be a home for families someday,” she added. 

Mr. Victor Contreras is convinced that the WV Towers will be the talk of the town and a future landmark because it is a unique development. He also recollected that just 2 years ago, they broke ground, and now, in celebrating the topping off, he looks forward to next year’s blessing.

This proves to be a truly exciting season for the B&P Property Group. Prosperity Heights, a development in Tandang Sora Q.C., was topped off just a year and a half ago and is set for turnover in July 2019. Good News! Tandang Sora will have both MRT and Subway stations near Prosperity Heights.

Prosperity Heights is ready for turnover by JULY 2019! And with the improved transportation connectivity in the Tandang Sora area, owners should expect a big eventual rise in property value. The Long-awaited MRT Line 7 operational by April 2020.

The long-awaited MRT-7 will serve commuters who ply the Commonwealth Avenue area for work and school on a daily basis. The new railway system will not only significantly lessen travel time along this corridor, but also help decongest traffic in Caloocan and NLEX. The project includes the development of a 23-km railway system with 14 stations, from North Avenue, Quezon City to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

Once completed and operational by April 2020, the MRT-7 is expected to initially accommodate 350,000 daily passengers and shorten travel time from the current 3.5 hours on the road to one (1) hour.

Tandang Sora Subway Station operational by 2022.

The “pipe dream” is now a reality. The Metro Manila Subway, the Philippines’ first underground railway system, officially broke ground on 27 February 2019.

The country’s first-ever subway system is a massive undertaking, spanning 15 stations from Quirino Highway in Quezon City to NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay and FTI in Taguig, all connected through a 36-kilometer rail line.

Set to run at 80 kilometers per hour, the Subway will cross seven local governments and pass through three of Metro Manila’s business districts in just 30 minutes.

The Metro Manila Subway is set to commence partial operations by 2022 for its first three stations: Tandang Sora, Mindanao Avenue and North Avenue stations. The entire rail line will be fully operational by 2025.

Further, the Metro Manila Subway will be connected with other major rail lines such as the PNR Clark, PNR Calamba, and the Common Station to ensure interconnectivity, intermodality, and interoperability.

The Metro Manila Subway is set to commence partial operations by 2022 for its first three stations: Tandang Sora, Mindanao Avenue and North Avenue stations. The entire rail line will be fully operational by 2025.

The pioneering underground rail line is expected to serve 370,000 passengers daily in its first year of full operations, with a design capacity that can accommodate up to 1.5 million passengers per day.
